"I started playing in 1967 and have studied extensively. I began with Mr. Baron at Geen's Drum shop in Providence, Rhode Island, where I studied old-school march and the rudiments of rhythm. Through the years, I have also studied with Steve Amsler (Berklee), Alan Dawson (world-reknown creator of the Berklee Method), Max Roach (UMass at Amherst), Rich Consciline (The Drummer's Collective) and Jazz great Michael Carvin. I have been teaching percussion since 1980, both in privately in New York, and with the Academy of Music in Ft. Piece, Florida. I have been performing professionally and consistently since 1967 with many well-known artists. I've been around the world, playing and touring professionally in Taiwan, Russia, Panama, Barbados, and St. Thomas."
